These are the very best sardines from the morning fish markets, tinned the same day they are caught. They are sourced in the Galician rivers and estuaries and the freshwater gives them a unique taste. Gran Reserva means the sardines are matured in the tins for six months before they leave the cannery, thereby enhancing their flavours even further. Try them on toast for breakfast, break up and stir them into pasta sauces, or in a tomato, avocado and red onion salad.
