New extra spicy sardines in olive oil from Nuri are infused with the heat from three chilli peppers instead of one. The sardines are top notch, sourced from Matosinhos fish market first thing and canned the same day. Now over a century old, the cannery still keeps every step of its artisanal process in house, which means rigorous quality control. Checks at a variety of points in the 37-step process mean each tin meets Nuri’s high standards. Roast some baby tomatoes with puréed garlic and olive oil in a 150 C oven for 15 minutes and add to cooked pasta along with the Nuri extra spicy sardines.
