Wood-smoked herring with wild garlic
This Norwegian Sea herring is gently smoked over beech wood and lightly spiced with white pepper and ramson (wild garlic). This is Fangst’s tribute to the mighty herring, a fish that has been fundamental to Nordic fishing, trade and food culture since the Middle Ages. The herring or sild is smooth-textured and flavour-dense. Fangst says it has created a taste of the coast and a hint of the forest with this tin.
